the m00k of 2018
Mooks. Oh how the year of 2017 and 2018 reminded the world that boys are completely idiots. If Logan Paul and his dim-witted brother hasn't made you realize that boys are so reckless, then I don't what will. Their 'pranks' and 'jokes' aren't even funny and they're just plain dumb. After the Logan Paul incident, his 'career' has spiraled downhill, so thank God. I don't understand why they though it was okay to do the things that they were doing. And to have a big platform like that is just so bizarre to me. They used their platform to promote suicide and plain idiocy. After watching the video in Mr. Maxwell's class, my eyes have opened up to the entertainment that boys believe is cool. Though I am a boy, I don't think that pranks and violence are all that great and almighty.
The idea of mooks totally fascinate me though. I find it so strange how MTV took a normal, average boy and totally flipped him upside down to make this character. With this, I don't think that the Paul brothers know that they are the embodiment of what a mook it. I don't think they have enough intelligence to actually research such a strange idea and topic. But it's also sort of sad that they were the first boys that I thought of when I first found out what a mook was. It was also eerily scary that the pranks and scenarios that were shown in the video we watched are almost completely parallels of what the Paul brothers do.
I genuinely think that a mook is something that is very fascinating, but also very annoying. The guy that was shown in the video just seemed to annoy everyone on the streets and I know that he was just acting as a character, but I wouldn't want some random man in the streets to yell at me for a long period of time. I geuniely hope that boys can stop looking up to mooks and looking for mooks as a form of entertainment I really think that Fornite is way better than a mook. Like honestly boys need to occupy something more important than just pranks.
