These are some of the one-liners that Cheryl Blossom has said throughout the two seasons that have aired. She lives in a huge mansion at the top of the hill with her abusive mother. Cheryl Blossom is your typical narcissistic, rich, posh girl at school. But is there really always one at school? She is the embodiment of the school's mean girl, but in reality, I genuinely feel like that there isn't really one like this at school. Yes, there may be some people who flaunt their money, but I don't think that they are necessarily mean. I think the technique that is used by the producers is definitely Snob Appeal. Cheryl wears predominantly red clothing, bright red lipstick, and even a spider brooch on her collar. Who wears a brooch on their collar if they aren't flaunting their money?  She is constantly telling people that she is rich and that she's not getting her father's will, after his 'suicide.' Another technique I think used by the producers to show Cheryl as character is the Simple Solution technique. With Cheryl's personality, she is able to use her money to solve her issues. She can go on shopping sprees when she's mad and discourage people's confidence by telling them that everything could be solved by wearing more makeup. 

In addition, I do feel like there is also some product placement within Cheryl. She is seen to have a bigger and better phone than Betty Cooper. The catch is that the phone is an iPhone. The show has no problem with showing the audience their phones and I think they're phones help to show their personalities. Of course, Cheryl Blossom had to get the most updated phone, while her cousin Betty, as rich as she is, gets a phone that is of a lower generation to show how much she doesn't care for materialism. Also, it is also seen that Cheryl uses higher-end lipsticks, such as Lime Crime cosmetics and even Bobbi Brown. Lime Crime cosmetics retail their lipsticks for around twenty dollars a pop, with some sales in between, but Bobbi Brown is a different story. Bobbi Brown cosmetics retails their lipsticks for a whopping thirty-seven dollars for 0.13 ounces of product! If that isn't privilege, then I don't know what is. I love Cheryl Blossom so much, but I can't help but realize how much
