Recently, entrepreneur Jeffree Star has posted a video, in which really shocked me. He is actually doing his makeup in a 1962 Rolls Royce. Of course, this is insane because Rolls Royce is such a luxurious car brand. The video is twenty-seven minutes of him trying out new products in the car, but this isn't the first time in which he has done something similar to this. Jeffree Star has actually done several videos in his own pink Rolls Royce. He has done these kinds of videos with other beauty gurus, like Nikita Dragun, Tati Westbrook, and even Nikkie Tutorials. The fact that Jeffree travled across the entire world to film this video is bizarre to me. He traveled to Finland to film this video, but also to promote that his cosmetics line will be sold in a store outside of the United States. The thumbnail of the video shows him in front of the car, holding an orange Jeffree Star Cosmetics mirror, accompanied by pictures of new products that he hasn't tried until this video. Jeffree is known to flaunt his money to his viewers and consumers. Though he gets backlash for this, he believes that if one has earned their money, then they should be able to showcase it to everybody. In addition, through watching this video, he announces a new makeup product in this video, but doesn't talk about at all later in the video. This creates suspense for his viewers, only wanting for him to post about the product later on in the video. Also, this makes consumers want to watch the full video, so that they could possibly hear more about it. The thumbnail, at first glance could be thought of as clickbait, since clickbait is something that is so prominent in the YouTube world. But no. He is actually doing his makeup in the actual freaking car. Clickbaiting is the act in which content creators do, which would exaggerate the video, in order to get more clicks and views. Overall, Jeffree does a good job at giving reviews of the new products that he is using for the first time, as well as creating suspense for consumers that want to collect and use his makeup.
